By Liengu Christiana A young Cameroonian whose name we got as Nyoki Menyoli William, who happens to be a plumber residing in the crisis hot zone of Ekona is said to be facing danger from both separatist’s fighters and state Military. According to reports, Nyoki Menyoli Williams was close to some military officers who passed by his house and place for work for his services. News would later go wild to the hearing of separatist’s fighters that he was closed to these military guys. According to the separatist’s fighters Menyoli was acting as an informant and betraying their presence and actions in the red-hot locality. This would mean that he has to keep away from his relationship with the Military for fear of the separatists. On the other hand, that action would indicate that he is a supporter of the separatist’s fighters, hence putting him on harm’s way from the military. The worst happened on September 23, 2018 when he was kidnapped by separatists’ fighters to the f...

The February 5, 2018 arrests had been described as arbitrary and condemned by Human Rights Groups who say at the time of the arrest, Tiku or the others were not posing any threat to national security or peace in any form. Tiku is reported to have escaped from the detention facility through an unknown means and ever since, security forces have been on the look out for him.
