By Mbonda Lizzy Noel Limbe has been shortlisted among two other cities namely Douala and Yaounde to take part in a national cleanest city competition that shall kick-off on August 10. This information was made known during  a press conference that took place at the Limbe City Council Building on the 2nd of June 2020. The City Mayor however noted that for Limbe to emerge victorious the inhabitants of Limbe have to change their mentalities as far as hygiene and sanction is concerned.  According to the City Mayor of the Limbe City Council, Andrew Motanga  Monjimba ,this competition organized by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ms Celestine Ketcha is an activity for Cameroon to celebrate this year's World Habitat Day which comes up on October 5 in Douala. The declaration was made public by the Chief of Communication in the Ministry of Defense, Cyrille Serge Atonfack, through a communiqué dated June 5, 2020. According to the communiqué, the journalist died due to infections in a military hospital in Yaounde since August 17, 2019. The communiqué further revealed that he has been in constant communication with his family since he was arrested on August 2 and also states that when he died, his family was informed about his demise and where his corpse had been deposited pending burial. The same document also wondered why the family of the late journalists decided to abandon the corpse at the morgue till date.
