NAWCED Empowers Women, Orphans Towards Financial Independence

  By SHING TIMOTHY The Limbe based Ngore Africa Centre for Women Empowerment and Development, NAWCED has officially kick started a one month training of women, young girls and orphans with the goal to empower them with life changing skills. The goal of the training according to the CEO, Abunaw Olive was to empower women with skills to stay independent.“This is training for development, because most women in Cameroon are abused because they don’t have the means to support themselves. So this training is to help women with basic skills so that they can empower themselves to gain financial freedom. We are giving the women skills on how to grow their businesses since most of them are small business owners”. The one month training started on the Wednesday 19 January and will finish on the 19 February 2021,at the head office of NAWCED in Limbe. The training brings together dozens of women and girls including orphans, small business owners as well as some professional seamstresses.  

King Black Welfare Association Produces Pioneer International Graduates

The graduation was as a result of the partnership signed by King Black and the Association of Business Executives in January 2020. 59 trainees in the various   categories   of Secretaries, Business Technology   and also some other trainees thanks to the partnership created with ABE- UK   in Project Management and Human Resource were the grandaunts who took certificates during the graduation ceremony that took place on Friday the 22nd of January, 2021 at the Limbe Botanic Garden. CAMP Restructures, Extends To Other Regions

This follows a Board Meeting of the Association that took place on January 15, 2021. The Board decided the association be expanded to other Regions and to give it more national impact. To this end, Regional Representatives were appointed as follows; For South West, Yuh Innocent, Littoral, Scholar Maloke, Centre Region, Roland Mbonteh and Grand West Region, Gerald Ngeh. As part of the restructuring process, the Board created a Directorate to supervise the activities of the executive committee. The Directorate arm is manned by four personalities; Executive Director, Tarhyang Enowbikah Tabe, Project Director, Baiye Frida Ebai, Director of Administration and Finance, Valerie Halimatou, Treasurer, Mahmoud Bin Saed, Financial Secretary Mbi Njang Daniel, and Barrister Arrey Collins was also appointed as Director of Legal and Humanitarian Affairs. Ngome Foundation Smiles With Mile Four IDPs

A humanitarian organization, known   as the Ngome Foundation at the end of last year, was in Bonadikombo, Mile 4, Limbe to put smiles on the faces of some internally displaced persons.   After short listing a total of 40 families to benefit, it turned out that news of the humanitarian gesture had gone viral and a total of 80 families answered present for the donations. The event took place Bonadikombo in front of the Chiefs Palace and was attended by a cross section of the population. It should be noted that the donors, Ngalame and Oscar, popularly known as the Ngome Brothers were unavoidably absent but were represented fully throughout the event. Speaking at the event, Ngale Epie Nganje, the coordinator of the Ngome Foundation said, the foundation is four years old and in the past has been responsible for paying of school fees to children who can’t afford.
