Cameroon, Burundi International Women's Peace Network Holds Regular Meeting

The IWPG Global 4 Region held a regular meeting of the World Peace Network in Cameroon and Burundi online on October 25, with a total of 16 people attending.

It was to remind them that the beginning of peace begins with me and my family, the smallest community, and they had time to practice and share peace in their respective places by writing and expressing love letters to them or their family.

Nicoline Wazeh (pathways for Women's Empowerment and Development, Founder), the Representative of the Yaoundé Peace Committee, Cameroon, explained from Articles 1 to 3 of the DPCW and took time to realize why the DPCW is the actual answer to peace.

Aben Melvis  Anep (Cameroon, Children For All Africa, President) who shared her letter that write to herself and her family conveyed her feelings about the meeting. "Some people had difficulty connecting to the Internet, but the regular meeting was good enough to learn and it was great"

Irene Chinje (Cameroon, Associated Country Women of the World, Area President) also left a hopeful message, saying, "Writing a letter was quite interesting, and the family is the foundation of society, so if we successfully achieve family peace, we can hope for greater peace."

Parfaite Ntahuba(Burundi, Friends Women's Association, National Coordinator) said, "It was a great meeting, and we have a short time to share our letters, so I hope we can divide it into small groups for the next meeting."

Meanwhile, IWPG is an international NGO of the U.N. Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and actively promotes women's peace education, support and urge the enactment of international laws, "Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War" (DPCW), and promote peace culture.
