A Boy whose name we got as Njokatem Emmanuel Etengeneng is reportedly on the run after he escaped from Amba Captivity in Mamfe.

Emmanuel was kidnapped on 14, May 2022 by separatist fighters after he was asked to join them and he refused severally.

He was kidnapped and a ransom of over FCFA 10 Million requested from his family or is killed by separatist fighters.

After spending days in captivity, he is said to have escaped allegedly through the help of one of the fighters who knew his family and knew his family could not raise that kind of money.

When news broke out that he was kidnapped, security forces intensified the search for the Separatists hideouts to no avail.

News of his escape from captivity spread in the whole of Mamfe town and beyond.

This attracted security concerns who thought it was an option for them to use him to trace those who kidnapped him while separatist fighters also lay ploy to get him or the ransom.

Njokatem Emmanuel Etengeneng explained to security forces that he was blindfolded when kidnapped and taken to the place and same when he was escorted by a Good Samaritan separatist fighter.

This did not sound clear to security operatives and have accused him of conspiracy.

Family sources say he was invited to the Brigade for interrogation but decided to leave the town to an unknown destination.

Since then, there has been rounds of search for him in town and beyond to no avail.
