Coming Of Limbe Deep Seaport: National Ports Authority GM Reassures

The Director General of the National Ports Authority (APN), Dr. Louis EBOUPEKE, has offered his warm congratulations to the Lord City Mayor on his election as the new head of the Limbe City Council.

This was during a courtesy visit by the APN head to the Limbe City Council on Thursday June 30th 2022.

In the fruitful exchange which was the very first meeting between the fine gentlemen, City Mayor Paul EFOME L.M NGALE heartily welcomed the August guest and didn't hide his admirations for the outstanding administrative and leadership skills of the APN strong man.

Dr. Louis EBOUPEKE said he was happy to meet the Limbe City Mayor and came with good tidings concerning the acceleration for the construction of the Limbe Deep Seaport. 

The APN Director General revealed that much was being done for things to materialise on the ground. 

To this news, the Limbe City Mayor reacted with satisfaction and used the occasion to show appreciation to the Head of State for finally granting Limbe its deep seaport. 

The Limbe City Mayor expressed confidence that the mega project shall be realised during his reign and youths shall certainly be the greatest beneficiaries.

The Limbe City Mayor however made a plea that the relocalisation of the population from the target area and payment of their indemnities should be a top priority so as to assure a smooth progress of the project.

During the discussion, City Mayor Paul EFOME strongly advocated the employment of youths of his municipality during the construction and eventual running of the Limbe Deep Seaport. 

This point was taken seriously by Dr. Louis EBOUPEKE who saw it logical if the overall success of the giant project was to be achieved. 

Also, the integration of deserving Limbe youths into other structures or activities of the APN was taken into consideration by the VIP guest.

The close to one hour exchange ended on a very positive note, with the Director General of the National Ports Authority promising City Mayor Paul EFOME L.M NGALE to meet with hierarchy and powers that be, so that the path for the implantation of the Limbe Deep Seaport shall be smoother than ever.

It should be noted that Dr. Louis EBOUPEKE was accompanied by Mrs. Pamela AYUK-ETA Deputy Director General of APN and Mr. ETA OBEN South West Regional Coordinator and Manager of the Limbe Ports Agency.
