MINEPAT Foreign Experts Laud Limbe Urban Master Plan

The ongoing project to update the urban
master plan as the development blueprint of the City of Limbe triggered by City
Mayor Paul EFOME L.M. NGALE, has earned the admiration of agents from Cameron's
Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development- MINEPAT.
The positive remarks came from a team of
MINEPAT consultants that paid a visit to the Limbe City Council on Wednesday
May 7th, 2025. They came within the framework of a MINEPAT mission on the
elaboration of the Regional Territorial Planning and Sustainable Development
Plan of the South-West region of Cameroon.
The Limbe city Mayor held a fruitful
exchange with the team amongst whom; Mohamed TLEMSANI Urban Planner- Head of
Planning and Sustainable Development Division and Mourad GDOURA Deputy Director
Development Expert (both from IDEA Consult Group Studi- Tunisia)
The team accompanied by Dr. NKEMASONG
Nicasius then presented their expertise to the City Mayor especially in the
area of Urban development and showed much interest to the vision of the city
Mayor with Limbe which is on the verge of updating its Urban Master Plan.
The MINEPAT consultant team admitted
that after carrying out research analysis, they were amazed
by the
Planification model used by the City Mayor Paul EFOME L. M Ngale to update the
Limbe Urban Master Plan. They added that it made a strong Foundation for the
future developed of the City. They also poured positive remarks concerning the
risk management strategy and actions of the Limbe City Council within the GIRIN
Project and the diagnosis of the New Urban Master Plan presented them.
Paul EFOME L.M. NGALE expressed his
appreciation for their remarks and iterated that his vision to transform Limbe
into a modern metropolis is irreversible.
The development-driven Limbe City Mayor
saw this booster from MINEPAT consultant team as an opportunity to work even
harder towards the realization of this mega urban project.
The pleasant meeting visibly paved the
way for a sustained collaboration.
