With its headquarters in the North West region of Cameroon, a region faced by the Socio-political unrest which has morphed into an armed conflict during the past five years and counting, Ntarinkon Cooperative Credit Union Limited NTACCUL, with the collaboration of it's over 74,000 members, now pays an incredible interest of 6% on savings.

Created in 1972, 50 years of existence with branches and structures planted in other regions like Centre, Littoral, South West, West and other places, NTACCUL has braved the odds, rising above the economic challenges paying an incredible interest rate of 6% amounting to 1.668 billion FCFA and a positive turnover of 4.2 Billion FCFA, a record rare to find in the country from a microfinance institution.

The successes of the Union despite the numerous stumbling blocks according to the General Manager Ade Muma Divine and President Fru Isaac Taku, is as a result of unity, collaboration and appropriate treatment of members.

"Our work is centered on customer care. Note that it is not the staff that brings the members. It is the members that go and bring the other ones. We give good services. We carter for them." Ade Muma General Manager NtaCULL.

"It is unity and collaboration. We are in a field that is full of collaboration, if you cannot listen to them and give them what they want, they will definitely go to your competitors..." Fru Isaac Taku President NtaCULL

To commemorate the 50 years anniversary, the Union plans to empower members through projects that will be financed by the credit union. The union also plans to facilitate savings and withdrawals to members' accounts via mobile phones. Staff of the union will be empowered through capacity building to enable them effectively and, adequately serve the ever growing population of NTACCUL
