Canal + Extends Goodwill Gesture To Orphans
The children of God First Orphanage in the Wotutu-Bojongo
Court Area have on Saturday July 15 blessed
with gifts from one of the leading cable network distributors in the country,
Canal +.
This kind gesture which comprised renovating the
sitting room of these orphans and buying of a flat screen television with Canal
+ cable network installed is going to be of great value to the children who can
now watch different cartoons just the way kids love to.
Presenting the gift to the manager of the orphanage,
the Communication Officer Ndje Hemle K. Jeannette explained that, “this is a
social action initiative program taken by Canal + Impact, to extend their
goodwilland solidarity and this time around, they chose to be with the God
First Orphanage in Wotutu”.
For his part, the Canal + Representative for the South
West Region Ketcher Henry said Canal + Impact visited Limbe to give to the less
privilege and make them know that Canal + is also having them in mind and not
just doing business. He also confirmed that they also visit schools and are in
Limbe to make the children happy and comfortable and know that even as they
grow in life, Canal + is here for them, to support them.
Receiving the gifts on behalf of the children, the
Director of God First Orphanage Mme. Ameg Quinta Teboh expressed her gratitude
for the beautiful gifts. “I am so happy today for this beautiful gift that
Canal + has given us. As you can see, they have really transformed the
environment of God First Orphanage. What Canal + has done for us today is so
big and from the deepest part of my heart, I pray may God Almighty bless them”.
She went further to describe how well designed and
organised the place has become and that it will keep the children busy during
this holiday. She admits how the television is going to impact the children’s
life and they will not just be running about playing in the mud but can now
stay indoors because they have something that’s going to comfort them.

Prince Teboh and Itoe Lorena amongst other beneficiaries expressed their joy as
they rained blessings on their benefactor. The joy and excitement on the faces
of these children was very visible as they said they shall never forget this
goodwill gesture.
It should be noted that Canal + asides renovating the
children’s sitting room, buying them a flat screen television and installing

school bags, butter, vegetable cooking oil, laundry soap and toiletries.
The Director of the orphanage also solicited for more

produce in larger quantities so that they can sell to a larger market and raise
more funds for their sustainability.

recorded musical displays, sketches, poem presentation amongst others. The
event was attended by a team of representatives from Canal +, traditional
