Ahead Of AFRICAB2B, Queen Mother Consultancy Calls For Promotion Of Entrepreneurship

The owner of Queen Mother Consultancy Mme Ngo Bahiha Caroline popularly known as Queen, has appealed to the government of Cameroon and Elites especially from the Anglophone Region to assist small entrepreneurs because private businesses have great potentials.

She made the appeal on Saturday October 23, 2021 during a one day seminar in prelude to the upcoming AFRICAB2B Industrialization Exhibition & Awards scheduled to take place at the city council hall in Yaounde from the 18th to 22nd November 2021.

 Queen Mother Consultancy’s  at the  seminar at Seme Beach in Limbe with over 25 business owners  and  leaders of cooperatives was to discuss on the role of SMEs in the inclusive and sustainable development of industrialization in Africa and mechanisms put in place to support businesses in the South West region.

She mentioned that to be part of the fair, registered companies will pay a registration fee of 75,000 FCFA while non registered companies will pay 100,000 FCFA which will cover their transportation, Lodging and more.


She also disclosed that at the fair, Exhibition will be done in parts.

She mentioned that she is interested in the skills of the entrepreneurs in the Northwest and Southwest Regions as well as the challenges they are facing in their different sectors so as to come up with possible solutions.

In his welcome speech, the General Manager of Seme Beach Hotel, Mr Yann Anoko was confident that the expectations of the entrepreneurs will be met at the end of the seminar.

He encouraged the entrepreneurs to do their best in whatever they do for he believes entrepreneurship is for the private sectors and the government will always come in to assist at some point.

He equally advised them to use the seminar to network with each other as well as seek for partnerships.

During expose and discussions at the seminar most of the participants expressed the need for financial support, Machinery to produce their goods amongst others.

The representative of the head of GIFAC (groupement des Femmes d'affaires du Cameroun) Mme Omam equally mentioned that local initiatives are not valorized because they lack the right support.

According to Mme Omam, a forum needs to be created for Elites to see how they can help SMEs and tag it entrepreneurship for peace because even on a crisis situation the entrepreneurs in the Crisis regions they still carryout businesses on a daily basis. The participants focused were centered on getting the right partnership to publicize their brand.

Base on the experiences shared by the participants and after haven seen their products, the boss of Queen Mother Consultancy promised to showcase them to the world by connecting them to the right people at the right time. She equally promises to canvass for support from the government so long as they do their best.

Based on her observation she stated that their products are good but most of them have problems with the production, packaging and marketing of their products. On this she advised them to come together by sectors for it will go a long way for their improvement.

She also mentioned that she is looking forward to create a transformation and packaging point in some parts of Cameroon.

For the seminar, Queen Mother Consultancy focused on Sectors like Food processing & conservation, Agriculture & Agro-business, Arts & culture, Tourism & leisure, Renewable energy, Fishery and fish products, Education and training, Technology, Aerospace ,Festimusic, Finance & insurance, and Trade and services.
