CAMTEL 'Blue Coats' Garoua At Chantal Biya Cycling Race Launch

The streets Of Garoua, last Monday October 3 took a different look with the Blue colours of leading Telecommunication Company in Cameroon, CAMTEL flying at the major points of the City.

The event was the launch of the 2022 version of the Chantal Biya International Cycling Race, dubbed Grand Prix International Chantal Biya.

Lovers of cycling who attended the launching at the Roum D’Ajia complex have been quick to commend CAMTEL for beautifying the event ground and engaging the slogan that Blue is the point- Un Point C’est Blue

Apart from branding the event, the CAMTEL delegation as major sponsors revealed that the company will also provide prizes to the winners for the best cyclist, best sprinter, best mountaineer and the fastest young rider.

Present at the opening ceremony before the first lap of the 99.2 Km race across Garoua started, was the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, the General Manager of CAMTEL, Mrs. Yah Judith Achidi, Administrative officers and Local authority heads.

The race which is already in its second day in Yaounde is bringing together teams from over 10 countries from Africa and beyond.

Teams from France, Holland and Morocco are also part of the competition to give it a true international touch.

Locally, Cameroon, which is the Natural host, is engaging three teams in the competition, FAP Cycling club, The National Cycling team and the SNH Cycling club.

The CAMTEL team will accompany the cyclists throughout the race from Garoua, Yaounde– Ngoumou - Ngomedzap Yaoundé – Ebolowa (Nkoladom) Ebolowa – Mengong – Sangmelima -(nouvelle route) + circuit - Sangmelima – Mkpwang – Zoétélé - Meyomessala – and end in Yaounde on the Sunday 9th of October  with the Grand Prix D’Ongola.
