Agbor Meg Appointed Regional Vice Chair Of PIB Follow Up Committee.

It should be noted that this is the second time she is being appointed to same position.

This, many believe is because she has been able to deliver in the last mandate as far as following up the execution of Projects under the Public Investment Budget in the SW Region are concerned.

The former Alternate Member of Parliament is a Civil Society Giant and runs one of the leading Women led Organisations in Cameroon, CHAMEG- Changing Mentalities Empowering Groups.

The Committee which is headed by the Young Honourable Malomba Esembe ,MP for the Buea Urban Constituency  has as Vice Chair, Madam Magdalene AGBOR  aka Agbor Meg  and the Regional Delegate of MINEPAT as Secretary.

Other members of the committee are, a representative of the Governor’s Office; the VC of UB (or his representative); 2 other MPs of the Region; the Mayors of the Buea Council and the Limbe Council; Heads of certain devolved and decentralized public services (MINMAP, Regional Public Contracts Brigade, Finance Control, MINDDEVEL, SOWEDA, NASLA, ARMP, AIVDP; Regional Authorizing Officers of investment credits; Tenders Board Presidents; Control Engineers; and 2 Traditional Rulers. 

The committee has among other missions to:
Sensitize the population on all PIB projects allocated to their communities for the current financial year;
 Ensure that stakeholders comply with the project logbook;
Ensure effective physical realization of the projects;
Receive comments and appraise the level of satisfaction of beneficiaries;
Share information with Civil Society on the level of execution of the PIB.

Dr Mrs. Agbor Meg Crowned "EKANDIM"

  By Tarhyang Enowbikah Tabe Dr Mrs. Meg Agbor has been crowned with the EKANDIM title in Manyu Division, Southwest Region of Cameroon The Ekpe of Ndekwai in concert with Ekpes from Ossing, Ntenako, Talaghaya, Nchang, Egbekaw Nfuni etc crowned her as "EKANDIM" hours before this write up in Ndekwai village. According to a few Manyu Patriachs who witnessed the ceremony, the EKANDIM is kind of a female Sesseku. The highest title in the Ekpe   given to a woman who has distinguished herself in the society with acts of service, Mobilization of groups, building skills, representation and humanitarian works to her people etc. The population of Ndekwai village men, women and children gave up every other activity to receive and celebrate the day with her.
