All Fako Development Forum Donates Over 7500 Face Masks To Population

Members of All Fako Development forum on Tuesday May 19, 2020 at Limbe City Council Hall Down Beach donated over 7500 face masks to inhabitants of Fako Division.

Speaking during the free donation of face masks, the representative of All Fako Development forum, Elame Victor said the group is made up of sons and daughters of Fako and friends who are professionals of all walks of life but having the development of Fako and the welfare of Fako people as their common denominator.

"Improvement of health care has been one of the main benefits of development. This benefit results partly from increase income and partly scientific process to fight against diseases.

 It's with this concept in mind that we decided to help our people in Fako Division by making washable face masks" Elame Victor said.

He added that they observed and applaud the measures taken by WHO and the government of Cameroon, recommending stay home and social distance.
He added that staying at home might have a negative consequences on the income of the persons, hence face masks is probably the practical solution.



According to him, it is true that Social distance reduce the spread of the virus, but lamented that it is difficult to prevent the virus at Motor Parks, Market and at home. They therefore identified the wearing of face masks as a remedy action.


He added that they also observed that there are shortage personal protective equipments for not only the common man but front line medical workers.
Elame revealed that the locally produced face masks were medically observed by all actors. 

 Set as objective to produce 20.000, he thanked all donors, members for their support to finance the project.

He is optimistic that the successful implementation of the project it is another prove that Fako people and elite are not divided into camps along political lines, they stood up as one person irrespective of varied political believe.

Elame Victor urged the population to use the face masks properly so as to prevent them from getting the virus, to save themselves and others.



On his part the Senior Divisional officers for Fako, Engamba Emmanuel Ledoux, appreciated the gesture of All Fako Development forum.

He added that the gesture goes in line with the directive of the President of the Republic who paves the way himself by bringing the same support to the population.


The SDO called on other elites of Fako Division to emulate the example of All Fako Development Forum to support the population who are in need and urged the beneficiary to use the items properly.
