Victoria Group - North America Paints Limbe With Free Face Masks

Victoria Group - North America in partnership with some Non-Government Organisations in Limbe on Tuesday May 19, 2020 proceeded with the distribution of over 5000 face masks to inhabitants of Limbe with the aim of accompanying government in the fight of COVID-19 in the City.
The launching of ceremony which took place at Half mile on Tuesday May 19 runs till Saturday May 23.
Among the donors are; Amen Foundation who launched the distribution at Limbe old Market, Hope for A Better Tomorrow, distributed at Church Street and Limbe main market while Simple Ladies distributed at Press book half mile right up to the Mbende junction.
Speaking to the Advocate, the Coordinator, Elizabeth Monjowa, said the move is to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the South West Region which has recorded 29 positive cases with 21 in Limbe.
They said they will continue their move in other areas of Limbe especially in Limbe II and Limbe III Subdivision.
Speaking to the press the coordinator Madam Elizabeth Monjowa , CEO of Amen Foundation said they are out to donate locally made face masks donated by Victoria Group - North America.
She added that they thought it wise that since Limbe is one of the town affected by COVID-19 and top on the chart in the South West Region, it is vital to donate face masks free, door- to- door in Limbe I, II and III Subdivisions.
Elizabeth Monjowa called on the public to collaborate with them so kick out the virus in Limbe. She revealed that they will educate the population on how to use the face masks and on how to preserve it.
On her part, Tembeng Eli- Anne Founder of Hope for a Better Tomorrow applauded the initiative of Victoria Group - North America.
"I think this activity comes at a right time. Especially for the women and girls I work with. We are grateful to Victoria Group - North America for bringing up this gesture to help the entire community and most especially women and girls.” The Multiple award winning Eli-Anne told reporters.
Linda Ekabe the Founder of Simple ladies said she believe it's a good gesture at a time like this when the country is facing a lot of problems with COVID-19 which is ravaging the population.
“I believe it's good gesture because there are people out there who still don't believe COVID-19 is real so the coming up of this, will empower the process to create awareness of the virus.” Linda said.
Mama Jacky a beneficiary thanked Victoria Group - North America for the good initiative for sharing the face masks.
She added that the face masks will help them to protect themselves against the deadly virus and promised to educate her peers about the pandemic.
