Reviving The Gardens: The Friends of Limbe Botanic Garden Impact

In December, the group revived the once popular activity of kids storming the Botanic Gardens during Christmas. The Friends Of The Gardens Christmas event, brought together a good number of kids, not only for the picture taking session, but also one for which the kids could benefit from some environmental lessons and best practices. Inclusive Education: A Strong Point For Bamenda II Council Boss

  By Anye Nde Nsoh Some nine visually impaired students in Bamenda II Social Centre, have benefited writing materials from Bamenda II Council, to facilitate their learning process in the centre, a gesture considered very timely. A slate, a stylus and realms of cardboard papers each were handed to these nine visually impaired students from the Centre Wednesday 26th January 2022 at the council premises handed over by Mayor Chenwi Peter. The materials received, comes to add to white canes and wheel chairs handed to the Centre in 2021. This exercise queues in with the Mayor's relentless efforts in supporting the educational sector in his municipality. On several occasions he has called on all to shun fear, regain the classrooms and effectively teach pupils and students in his municipality. CHAMEG, UNDP Empower Youth On Local Economy Revitalization

 By Ojong Joseph Ojong The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is running a pilot project for youth empowerment (human capital investment) to revitalize the local economies through youths. The project has as objective to empower 1,000 youths each in some municipalities of Cameroon. Changing Mentalities and Empowering Groups (CHAMEG Cameroon) was given the mandate to implement the pilot phase of the project in the South West Region, CHAMEG Cameroon. To execute this, CHAMEG then hired some experts to facilitate the training. TABOKO Samson MENGE, the CEO and Co-founder of Manyu Development Group (Ma.De.G) was recruited as the Lead Trainer in Kumba. Cameroon Amputee National Team Gear Up For Amputee AFCON

The 16 amputee players have been involved in work outs twice daily working on resistance, ball possession and control, passes and others. As the days go by and with powerful opponents to face during the Cup of African Nations for Amputees, the team is in camp, fine tuning tactics for a better performance and output when they eventually travel to Dar es Salam Tanzania for CANAF 2021 to run from November 26, to December 5. Their training is expected to last till November 23 wherein they are expected to travel to Tanzania for the 15 national tournaments. Commercialists have been unable to effectively market these products produced caused by gun battles.
